UFC Fight Night Results

Carl for 4 of his 5 picks right this week. So far on the show he’d doing pretty damn well at picking winners, and what’s more he’s even coming through with some outsiders too. Here are his picks from the weekend’s UFC Fight Night:

Rosholt at 7/5 vs Nelson……Wrong

Thompson 9/4 vs Hendricks……Right

St Preux 2/7 vs Cavalcante……Right

Benavidez ¼ vs Makovsky…….Right

Pyle 7/5 vs Spencer…….Right

Waste Management Phoenix Open

Rob’s picks for this weekend were as follows:

Fowler to win at 16/1…..Lost in a playoff

Dunne Top 10 at 12/1….rubbish

Poulter Top 10 at 6/1…..rubbish

Laird Top 10 at 6/1…..rubbish

Ricke Fowler was 2 shots ahead playing the 17th and proceeded to put his drive in the water, and then put it in the water again during the playoff. Hideki Matsuyama came up trumps, with Fowler breaking down in tears during the press conference. So close to a nice 16/1 pay day!

European Football

We had a look through Cob’s picks for the weekend and finally things are starting to turn around for the man, with 2/3 right this week. We also talk about the weekend’s Spanish games, Guardiola to Man City, Mourinho possibly to Man Utd, and the Valencia fans’ patience with Gary Neville running out.

Oh, and the Champions League is back next week, ending a couple of months of fairly dour football.

Six Nations

Scotland and England was a borefest, Italy almost overcame France in Paris, and Ireland and Wales split the spoils in a hard fought draw in Dublin. Is this the worst Irish team in 20 years? There certainly wasn’t any champagne rugby on display from anyone this weekend, though the weather mightn’t have helped.

Superb Owl

We look at a couple of the big bets ahead of the Superbowl including a fourth hand tip that Coldplay would play ‘Yellow’ as the first song during the halftime show (they played two lines of it….that counts!!), who the MVP will thanks first, how long the national anthem will be, and the favourites for the MVP award. There might even be a couple of seconds about who we think might win the match, but that’s fairly inconsequential.
