Aced Poker Overview

Welcome to Online Gambling Bible’s Aced Poker Review. Aced Poker are a member of the Merge Poker Network. The good news for US players is that all rooms on Merge take American players and they are probably the most reputable, safe and secure option for US poker players, with high deposit acceptance rates from credit cards and reasonable cashout times if you’re a winner!

Aced have been online since 2006 and have a good reputation in the online poker community and are owned by another room on the Merge network, Carbon Poker. If the name is familiar it might be because they were the one time sponsor of 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event winner Jamie Gold.

Aced Poker Bonuses and Promotions

First Deposit bonus:

Aced offer an initial deposit bonus of 200% up to $5,000 for new players and it’s one of the better value bonuses for American players. Their bonus is structurally identical to that of Carbon Poker and is released in $5 increments for every 750 VIP points you earn, and you get 150 points per dollar of rake paid. This equates 20% of your rake back which is about the best that American players can hope for until the legislation clears up the online poker market a little bit.

The minimum deposit to qualify for the bonus is $10.

Promotions:

Some of the promotions on offer at Aced include a $10,000 freeroll for any players that deposit which takes place on the second Sunday of the month. They offer free poker training in association with Drag the Bar where you get full access to the site’s video library if you earn 10 VIP points in the first month and 5,000 points each month thereafter.

A couple of promos which might be of interest to tournament players include the Tourney King where the head of the tournament leaderboard stands to earn up to $3,000 each month. The corresponding Sit n Go leaderboard offers up to $2,000 for the leader each month using a rather complicated formula that include winning streaks and SnG points.

Aced Rewards Scheme:

Aced Rewards is a tiered VIP scheme that you’re automatically enrolled for when you play for real money at the site. The levels run from Bronze which you’ll sit at if your an occasional player to ‘Aced’ if you’re a total poker addict! Aced level players will be entitled to 35% of their rake back and a special $5,000 freeroll each month.

To reach Aced level you’ll have to rake well in excess of $500 each month.

Aced Poker Games and Tournaments

Being part of the Merge Network means that Aced Poker has access to the biggest plaer pool of any site that serves US players. In the evening time (EST) you can expect up to 1000 cash game players to be logged on, meaning there’s tons of games to choose from and a really busy feeling to the room. Some of the more unusual games offered at Aced Poker are 7 Card Stud (Hi and Hi/Lo), Razz, 5 Card Stud, 5 Card Draw, Triple Draw and Badugi.

These games don’t have as much traffic as the ever popular Holdem and Omaha though.

Aced Poker offers a decent selection of guaranteed prize pool tournaments, the juiciest of which is the $50k guaranteed on Sunday afternoons. They also run re-entry tournies, satellites to major live events like the WSOP, bounty tournaments, shootout tournaments, and even ladies only events!

Aced Poker Software and Graphics

Aced has decent software that has all of the important features that make online poker that little bit more convenient and fun, such as multi-tabling capability, auto-rebuy, and resizable tables. The graphics are as good as you’ll get on a US facing site and really you shouldn’t have any qualms with the client as a whole.

Standard of Competition at Aced Poker

Now that only a few sites serve US customers and the fact that getting your credit card accepted can occasionally be tough (Aced has one of the best acceptance rates), the games on US facing sites have gotten a little tougher as it’s generally only real die hard poker fans that go to the effort of finding a site and depositing.

There are still a good number of fish though, who come from other sites on the network that feature sports books and casinos, which are notorious for sending bad poker players who love to gamble to the tables!

Aced Poker Support

Aced Poker offer a contact form on their site or you can email them. They promise to respond to all queries within 48 hours but they’re typically much faster than that and you’ll usually get an answer on the same day you submit your query, You can contact them at [email protected]
