What if someone was playing at a WPT final table or a WSOP televised event and didn’t want to show their hole cards to the camera? Please only answer if you have concrete information to share.

It’s not as silly a question as it sounds because I’m sure there are plenty of players who aren’t exactly thrilled about exposing their poker strategies and tactics to anyone who might be watching (i.e. future opponents) by revealing what they have in the hole.

Hi, i’m planning on having a 35 player poker tournament. Buy-in will be $200 minus expenses (food and drinks).

I will for sure play in the tourney and will not pay but I am wondering, should i take a cut for all the work i’m putting into this? How much do you think?

Thanks!!

Derrick

Won a poker tournament on a cruise ship. I have no losses or no other winnings for last year, just the $1300. Do I have to report this on my taxes or is this winnings below the threshold to report and qualifies me to be exempt? Second part of question is, since I won on a cruise ship and a cruise ship is foreign territory since it is registered in the Bahamas, does that come into play with reporting gambling winnings on foreign soil?

If I’m playing in a televised poker tournament do I have to show my cards to the pocket cam?

Could I block it with my hand or some kind of item?

…like the one they use at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. I am setting up a home poker game and would like to keep track of blinds and levels.

I’m going to sign up the a poker tournament at the MGM when I’m in Las Vegas, and I am wondering long it is going to take. I’m thinking that I’m going to do the 11am tournament.
