Want to learn how to solve these types of problems for math class.

Playing poker against 1 opponent, if you are holding J(s) 10(h) and the flop is K(s),10(s),J(d). The turn is Q(s). The next card was already burnt, so the next card is the river. What is the probability of hitting a
1)Straight

3)Full house
4)Striaght flush
5)Royal Flush

not knowing what cards your opponent has or which cards have been burnt thoughout this hand.

Can someone help explain this.?

I was playing in a home game tournament with about 7 people, no limit hold em. I’d say 4 of those players were pretty much donkeys. They’d call with any two cards, especially if they had a face card or an ace. Should I have approached the table aggressively or super tight?? I would get called with almost any amount I bet out, even if odds were completely in my favor and get busted because they get lucky with the board. What approach should one take with this kind of table?

I play poker once in a while with my dad and brother, but we don’t bet. My dad said it helps train the brain. I can understand the part where you have to remember the cards used. But I’m not sure how do you apply probability into it?

If I’m playing in a televised poker tournament do I have to show my cards to the pocket cam?

Could I block it with my hand or some kind of item?

Some friends of mine are thinking of starting a poker night, I was curious on how the rules would be idealy. If there was no dealer, would the shuffle be done by each player once? Would the raising and calling take place before and/or after changing cards? If we were to play with a 100 $ each per night, what would be the best limits to have a good fun game. I need some experieced helps, no answers just for points please.

Thanks in advance.

A friend of mine an I are planning a poker run in which the proceeds benefit a girl with the disease Cystic Fibrosis. Just incase you don’t know what a poker run is, I’ll briefly describe it. A poker run is an organized motorcycle event where riders travel over a prescribed course and at designated stopping points, select a card. At the end of the run, the person with the best poker hand wins a prize.
Anyway, I am asking if anyone has any ideas or suggestions to make it more fun for the bikers? We will have a cash prize for the winner, but we will also have ticket drawings, so what type of items should we set out for them to win? What companies would most likely donate?
Also, how many bars to stop at, five or six? We need five cards, but maybe a six bar to stop at for the food and drinks?
Any insight is appreciated! Thanks everyone!
One more question.. How much should I charge for the t-shirts and the entry fee?

I was playing in a tournement this week and i want to get your take on the what took place. It was the first hand and i was dealt two queens and i made a raise, and two other players called my bet. The action got to the next player who right away pointed to the floor where there was a jack and a king on the ground. Right away the dealer called over the floor and he had the dealer count down the stub, he found out that the deck was short and the floor said it was a misdeal. I tryed to explain that since there was action on the hand it coulden’t be a misdeal and that the two cards should be show and the hand be played out, but he would not change his mind. Now i deal poker for a living and i think i was right in asking the hand to be played out, but was he right in any way to call it a fouled hand.
